HOW DO I BECOME A MEMBER?

Visit the JOIN PTA tab at the top of the page to be directed to our online membership portal.

*Paper membership forms are sent home at the beginning of the school year, and are available in the front office year around.

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF BEING A PTA MEMBER?

As a member of Landell PTA, you are part of a national organization (National PTA).

“National PTA is the largest volunteer child advocacy organization in the United States. A not-for-profit association of parents, educators, students, and other citizens active in their schools and communities, PTA is a leader in reminding our nation of its obligations to children”.

In other words, you help put children first. Also, as a member of Landell PTA, you are entitled to voting privileges at any general membership meeting.

WHAT'S WITH ALL THE FUNDRAISING?

PTA is not a fundraising organization. It is not our goal to collect as much money as we can. To the contrary, PTA aims to raise just enough to cover the programs we provide. By becoming a member of the PTA, you have a say in what those programs are, and how much is spent on them.

WHERE DOES PTA’S MONEY GO?

The money raised by PTA funds student services, programs, teacher assistance and campus needs. Landell PTA funds all school field trips, school assemblies, family fun nights, enrichment activities, student technology (chromebooks, ipads), teacher supplies and more. Every dollar spent by the PTA is approved through the budget committee and PTA board.

IS THE PTA OPEN TO ANYONE?

Absolutely! We welcome participation from any adult who wants to join – parents, teachers, grandparents, mentors, caregivers, community leaders and anyone else who cares about our children. Please don’t be intimidated. Contact us, come to a meeting, get involved. We really do want to see new faces like yours.

WHAT IF I DON'T WANT TO VOLUNTEER?

That's okay! Joining PTA doesn't mean you have to volunteer. While we love extra help, we know that not every person has the time, patience or ability to volunteer on campus. Your voice is valuable and your membership is welcome regardless of your ability to volunteer.
